    TITAN Image V6.0-the RS data processing software platform and the SDBE (TITAN Spatial Database Engine) owned by Beijing Oriental TITAN Technology Co., Ltd were greatly honored for its outstanding performance in the said software evaluation. TITAN SDBE is a perfect solution aiming at mass spatial data (including TOSA and IDB modules) storage management. The two modules, TOSA and IDB, manage respectively the vector and image data in Oracle database. Taking advantage of data storage-managing capability, this software provides large/extra large spatial information system with powerful support.

    As a practice, the evaluation continued to evaluate the practicability, reliability and functionality of the candidate software with superiority, while reiterating the commercializing and industrializing level of software, emphasizing the capability of customerized development and integrated application compatibility, and encouraging industrial application platform to take part in the evaluation. As a special measure taken in the evaluation, the size of the test data in the evaluation is over 34GB, which means the capability for the software to handle mass data was paid extra attention. This made the test more difficult while more convincible. TITAN Image V6.0 is characterized by its complete functions, reliability, high processing speed, its impressive capability in processing mass data and its outstanding performance. You are able to define workflow template, run the template automatically, and rectify DRG effectively and automatically. It is functioned with strong cartography output capability. Respective symbol database is attached as well.

    Scientific, Impersonal and Just were the main principles adopted in the GIS/RS data processing software evaluation so that outstanding software could be test out and honored. The evaluation actually would promote the outstanding software into the market, strengthen the technical communication and development and finally benefit the development of both technology and industry.
